Happy Bloggy-versary Gift-Away/ CLOSED

It's the 1st Anniversary for Grace and Me!
To honour the celebratory mood I am hosting a GIFT-AWAY, but not in the traditional sense.  Though I am a sucker for a good contest, coupons, and swag of all sorts.  In the spirit of GIVING back to community here is a new spin on GIVEAWAYS: I want to sponsor a $25 donation to a Charity on behalf of one of my blog friends.  There is only one way to enter the GIFT-AWAY- respond to this post in the comments section below.  I look forward to your responses, finding out what causes are important to you, and hearing your views on volunteerism and philanthropy.

1) Name a Canadian organization that is important to you.

2) Respond to one of these statements or questions:
"I think volunteering is important___."
"I donate to charities because __."
"I try to teach my children about philanthropy by___."

OR

3) "What special Spring events are being celebrated in your family?"

Or add your own feedback about something I've written.  Feel free to answer each question or post each response separately to gain extra entries. Make sure to Follow my blog using GOOGLE Friend Connect, and tell me your user name, or add your email address in this format {superstar1975[at]writeme[dot]com} to your comment.

*This giveaway is sponsored by the author, and not endorsed by a particular charity.  It is open to Canadian addresses only.  Winner will be chosen by random.org . "Prizing" will consist of a one time $25 (CANADIAN DOLLARS) donation to a valid Canadian Charity or Organization on behalf of the name that corresponds to the chosen numbered comment.  The charity chosen by the entrant must have a charitable license and online presence.  Meaning, the sponsor must be able to find this charity online and be able to make the donation on a reputable site, and secure manner, on your behalf. The sponsor's intent is to complete this contribution by Mother's Day, May 8, 2011.

**The giveaway entry period will be open from April 13 to April 27, 2011(11:59 EST) , the winner will be notified by email and have 48 hours to respond. If 48 hours pass without a response, I will pick another number and contact the corresponding name.

My family supports 'reach for the rainbow.' Helping people improve their literacy skills is important. Volunteerism is essential to a healthy community.

I support many organizations locally ( womens shelters, Boys and Girls club, Salvation army etc)

My heart is always with the Humane society though. I wish I could do more to help.

Also
I think volunteering is important because everyone needs support at some time in their lives :)I believe what goes around comes around. Help where and when you can because you never know if a loved one or yourself needs help in return

Those that know me, know that I have a crazy love for books and for the little ones around me! :) I believe that children are our future and that books and literacy play and important role in their development and inspiring them into living vibrant lives. I believe that Indigo's "Love of Reading Foundation" is a worthwhile investment and I LOVE being a part if it, because it gives teachers the resources to inspire and build up their students; our future!

Volunteering is crucial... We have all been helped/encouraged at some point in our lives through some act of random kindness and I believe it is good for the heart and soul to give back to people and the world we live in. Thanks for raising the awareness, Aims! :)
